Pet Spa

Marbles Rings

Set up your very own Pet Spa to sell goods and services. Practice financial literacy skills while grooming, styling and taking care of plushie pals.

What You Need:

  • Plush pets
  • Grooming tools like brushes and combs
  • Pretend washing materials like a bucket, towel and wash cloth
  • Accessories like bows and bandanas
  • Paper and markers
  • Pretend money, from a game or make your own

What You Do:

  1. Set up your Pet Spa! Gather your pets and spa materials first and make signs for each spa service you plan to offer. Ideas include bathing and nail trim, haircut and brush. Make sure to include prices for each service.
  2. Set up your grooming station and check-out area then invite friends and family to be your customers.
  3. Time to get to work! Pretend to wash and groom the pets and check-out customers using pretend money.

Words to Use:

What to Talk About:

Change It Up:

  • Don’t have any plush pets? Try running a pretend bakery or craft store. What goods and services could you offer at a different kind of shop?
