When will Marbles IMAX be open?
What public health and safety measures does Marbles have in place?
Marbles adheres to NCDHHS and CDC guidelines to provide a safe experience for guests, staff and volunteers. Guests will be required to wear face coverings, adhere to social distancing guidelines and wash/sanitize their hands frequently. Guests will also notice additional cleaning and sanitation protocols including full cleaning and sanitizing between showings.
Are guests who are exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms allowed in the theater?
No. If you or anyone in your group have experienced any of the following symptoms with or without aid from medication, please visit another day.
Will I have to wear a face mask?
Guests ages 5 and older are required to wear a face mask covering the nose and mouth. Children ages 3 and 4 are strongly encouraged to wear a face covering. To discuss accommodations for children with special needs, please contact Madison Pharr, Director of Guest Experience at 919-857-1027.
Do staff and volunteers undergo daily health screenings?
Yes. Prior to each shift, all staff and volunteers are subject to a temperature screening and health questionnaire.
What types of payment are accepted at Marbles?
To facilitate contact-free transactions and maintain capacity limits, tickets should be purchased online in advance of your visit. To purchase concessions, credit cards and cash will be accepted.
How do I know where I will be sitting during the movie?
For all showtimes a team member will usher you to your seat.
Does a Marbles Movie Membership still provide tickets at 50% off?
Yes! A Marbles Movie Membership gives you access to 50% tickets for any show. Member tickets must be purchased online prior to showtime.
I don’t have a membership; how do I purchase my movie ticket?
Tickets for all showtimes are on sale on the Marbles IMAX website.
What if I need help purchasing my ticket?

Is there a limit on the number of tickets I can reserve/purchase?
All ticket purchases are subject to limitations based on the available number of tickets.
How many guests are being allowed into the theater at a once?
Marbles will adhere strictly to state orders limiting attendance to 30% of theater capacity, and we anticipate landing well short of that limit for most screenings.
Can I give my ticket to someone else?
No. Ticket purchases are non-transferable and non-refundable. If a change in plans is beyond your control, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Can I purchase my ticket in person?
All tickets are purchased online. If you arrive in person without a ticket, Marbles has a QR code you will use to purchase your tickets online.
Where do I wait when I arrive?
All guests will wait in the theater lobby for their showtime. Physically distanced floor markings will help guests stay safely apart while waiting to be seated.
How do guests maintain social distancing while in the auditorium?
Marbles has limited the number and location of seats available for purchase. Every other aisle of seats is closed off to allow for physical distancing.
Do I have to wear my mask while watching the movie?
Yes. Masks must be worn at all times except when eating and drinking. Eating and drinking is only allowed while seated in the theater.
Am I allowed to leave the theater during the movie?
Yes. However, guests are encouraged to use the restroom and/or purchase concessions prior to showtime to reduce the chance of needing to exit during the show. If a guest needs to leave the theater during the film, everyone in that row must stand to allow the guest to pass safely. We appreciate your cooperation with any disruptions during your movie.
What happens at the end of the movie?
Please listen to the instructions from the usher about when it is time to exit.
Will my Marbles Movie Membership be extended because of the theater closure?
Yes. Marbles is extending all Movie Memberships up to the full length of our closure depending on the date of purchase. However, we ask that you please consider donating the extension back to Marbles to help us recover from the devastating financial blow of the COVID closure.
Can I renew my membership at the theater?
At this time, Marbles Movie Memberships are not on sale. Once new movies are released on a regular basis, we will resume sales and will happily assist you in renewing your membership.
How can I purchase my movie tickets?
Marbles Movie Members must log in to purchase member tickets through our new online portal. Every member has an account on the new portal. The first time you log in you will need to reset your password to activate your account.

Is hand sanitizer available?
Yes. Hand sanitizing stations and handwashing stations are available. Guests are strongly encouraged to use them often.
What are the cleaning procedures for the restrooms?
Restrooms are available to visitors, however in order to maintain physical distancing, some stalls and sinks will be temporarily closed. Restrooms will be sanitized throughout the day and deep cleaned daily.
Will food and drink be available for purchase?
Guests can purchase popcorn, candy, canned sodas, bottled water, beer, wine and ICEEs at the concession stand. For public health reasons, fountain drinks and popcorn refills are currently unavailable.
Where can I eat and drink?
Eating and drinking is only allowed while seated in the theater.
