Author, speaker, record setter, and National Geographic adventurer of the year, Jennifer Pharr Davis comes to Marbles IMAX to launch a the new documentary Into America's WIld. Jennifer, a North Carolina native, knows a thing or two about overcoming fear, challenges and other people's expectations. After graduating college in 2005, Jennifer wasn't sure what to do with her life and was bugged by the fact that she had very little knowledge of nature. She hiked the entire Applachian Trail for the first time in 2005 and in 2011, she set the record for fastest completion of the Appalachian Trail in just 46 days, 11 hours and 20 minutes. In 2012, Jennifer continued to hike, this time while six and seven months pregnant with her daughter and continued to hike with her after she was born covering hikes in all 50 states by the time she was two. Jennifer will talk about the importance and meaning she found in hiking. Through different stages in her life, with new obstacles, she found a way to enjoy nature and hiking. In, Into America's Wild, she helps showcase the importance of the outdoors for everyone.
