Hours and Dates of OperationMarbles Kids Museum and The Corner Store The museum is open everyday, Tuesday - Sunday, except for Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The museum is closed Mondays, with some exceptions.
* Marbles members play early at 8:30am on Wednesdays.
Please note that our busiest hours are Tuesday - Friday, 10:00am-1:00pm. Plan your visit around these times to avoid the crowds. To make the most of your visit, we recommend that you allow at least two hours to explore the museum. Check the calendar for upcoming events to help plan your day's schedule, and consider purchasing a combo ticket – a good value – to enjoy the museum and an IMAX film.
Marbles Kids Museum will be open on the following Mondays: January 18, 2010 (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day) For IMAX film and showtime, visit the IMAX® Theatre site at www.imaxraleigh.org.
Admission
With a valid military ID, visitors receive $1 off museum admission, $1 off IMAX tickets and $15 off a Marbles Family PLUS membership.
Marbles Kids Museum is designed for kids 10 and under and their families, but we know that big kids like to laugh and play too! Out of courtesy to our family visitors, Marbles Kids Museum asks all unaccompanied adults to leave a driver's license or government issued photo ID at the Welcome Desk while exploring the museum. Thanks for playing along!
ACM Reciprocal Program Admission Policies Family visitors with a valid ACM Reciprocal Membership Card receive free admission to Marbles Kids Museum for up to FOUR individuals from the same household. To ensure admittance, present the following at our welcome desk:
Reciprocal privileges do not extend to discounts in The Corner Store, museum special events, programs, summer camps or birthday parties. For additional information, please visit ACM or call the Membership Coordinator at 919.857.1022.
Group Pricing(10+ in Party)
A group is eligible for the group rate if the party consists of 10 or more people. One consolidated payment in full is required in order to honor the group rate. If you are interested in booking a group visit to the museum and/or IMAX theatre, please contact Ginny Martin at 919.857.1049.
School Field Trip Pricing & Information
*Children under the age of one (1) who do not require their own seats for IMAX films are free of charge and do not require a ticket. Any child under the age of one (1) who is admitted free to a sold-out show must sit in the lap of a parent or guardian.
**Group rates are not applicable for IMAX feature films until two weeks after the film begins.
Food Lion MVP Wednesday
Discount valid for $1 off general museum admission for up to 4 people per family. May not be combined with any other offer including memberships and group visits.
Target $2 Tuesday NightsBring the whole family for a night of play for just $2 per person! Held every third Tuesday, 5:30pm-8:00pm. Target $2 Tuesday Night is generously sponsored by Target.
Your VisitRemember to dress according to the weather. The museum offers two outdoor adventure areas, and the courtyard that links the museum and IMAX Theatre is a great place to enjoy lunch or a snack.
Many food options are available on the Marbles Kids Museum campus and nearby, ranging from roll-up sandwiches and salads at Roly Poly to soda and popcorn from IMAX concessions and coffee in The Corner Store.
