Director of Education & Training
Marbles Kids Museum, a 110,000 sq ft dynamic children’s museum located in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina, seeks a Director of Education & Training to join its creative team.
This newly created position is responsible for:
- Leading the museum education team as a creative, collaborative and nimble team that seizes great ideas and creates distinctive, fun and enriching programs.
- Creating and implementing a distinctive Marbles Kids Museum training program
- Leading the development and implementation of museum programs
- Leading the ongoing enhancement and upkeep of activities in the museum galleries
Successful candidates will have:
- At least 3 years experience managing a creative team
- At least 5 years experience working with children/youth in an informal education setting
- Active participation in the development and delivery of staff training programs in educational, recreational and/or guest services environments.
- Clearly articulated vision for rich, dynamic learning experiences that inspire, delight and engage children and their families.Â
- Demonstrated commitment to provide unique and fun learning experiences that contribute positively to the development of children
Located in a creative, downtown setting, Marbles Kids Museum is a110,000 sq foot children’s museum that includes five main exhibit galleries, outdoor courtyards and the Wachovia Imax Theatre at Marbles Kids Museum.

Marbles Kids Museum is searching for a FT Guest Service Associate to work Wednesday through Sunday.Â
Marbles Kids Museum is a hands-on, interactive museum that inspires children to be creative thinkers, active learners and confident individuals.
The Guest Service Associate will work at both the info desk and welcome desk to answer the phones, answer guest questions, direct museum traffic, process payments and facilitate a positive museum experience.
Position requires a commitment to customer service; strong multi-tasking skills; excellent verbal communication skills; a flexible work schedule; knowledge of cash handling processes; and proficiency with MS Windows and Point-of-Sale software.
Successful candidates are good with young customers and large groups, and have at least two years retail experience.Â
