Raleigh, NC (2/6/09) — Marbles Kids Museum’s newest exhibit, Power2Play, opens Saturday, February 7, where kids can pedal, skate, leap and climb their way through hands-on nutritional activities while learning about muscles, bones and heart rate too! Kids will discover that healthy food choices fuel the body with more Power2Play. The exhibit welcomes the return of the kids' favorite Center Ice rink sponsored by the Kids 'N Community Foundation of the Carolina Hurricanes.

Opening Day Activities for Power2Play:

· Visit with Stormy and the Storm Squad from the Carolina Hurricanes

· Meet a host of fruits and veggies as they delight and entertain in a skit just for kids

· Enjoy stories of nutritious and delicious adventures

· Become Greta the Grape or Precious Pea with colorful face painting

· Explore your senses with fruits and vegetables at the Sensation Station

Special thanks to Childcare Services Association AmeriCorps volunteers for developing many of the opening day activities.

Power2Play will have kids discovering what it takes to the fuel their fun! The exhibit is sponsored by WakeMed Health & Hospitals, the John Rex Endowment, Carolina Hurricanes Kids N’ Community Foundation, and Food Lion.
